Discover the foundations of handbuilding with clay in this relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop. You’ll be guided through essential techniques including pinch, coil, and slab building, learning how to shape and construct your own unique ceramic pieces from scratch. Along the way, you’ll explore texture, form, and simple decorative methods to personalise your work. Once complete, your pieces will be kiln-fired, ready for you to collect and enjoy.
Week 1: Pinch Pots
Week 2: Coil Pots & Making strong attachments
Week 3: Slab building, Surface Decoration with texture
Week 4: Slab building continued
Week 5: Final touches and decorating with underglaze!
Week 6: Glazing is Fun!
