Ngā Toi Harakeke was established by Georgia Larkins-Tareha & Corrinne Larkins.
Cultural identity from a Mana Wāhine perspective is at the heart of Ngā Toi Harakeke and is the primary outcome we hope to achieve.
We Engage with wāhine Māori who are seeking reconnection to cultural identity through toi Māori. Implementing harakeke as the kākano to create a space that wāhine feel safe to explore and adapt all aspects of harakeke through raranga, mātauranga, whakapapa, tikanga, te reo maori, waiata and pūrākau, with the skill and ability to weave these together as a creative outlet.
