Ross Cassells Watercolour Exhibition

A life-long professional career in environmental management has given Ross a deep appreciation of the nuanced beauty of the New Zealand landscape. As well, Ross has an abiding interest in New Zealand history, particularly steam rail.

Landscape and historic rail are, therefore, contrasting themes of this exhibition. But each, in their own way, exude an atmosphere that begs to be captured. With its ability to explore the subtle interplay between light and shadow, watercolour is a wonderful medium to do this.
