Gill Allen’s paintings form a collection of semi-abstracted panoramic landscapes. They embrace the exploration of mark-making as an energetic and spontaneous response to her environment. A variety of mediums are used including: charcoal, water-based mediums with a predominance toward soft pastel. Gill graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Fine Art from Dunedin Art School. She is a members of the Pastel Artists of New Zealand (PANZ) and has been a practicing artist and tutor for the past 25 years.
