Audrey Holmes

Audrey uses sculptural forms and twisting, flowing lines to create rich, evocative images. Her vision centres around achieving oneness between the self and the natural world(s), including the otherworld. 

Belinda Paton

Belinda Paton is an award-winning artist who has spent a lifetime developing her own uniquely whimsical style. She works in Clay, Painting, Jewellery and Sculpture and also teaches workshops. 

Beth McGill Artist Feathers

Beth is a feather artist who paints native birds, flora and fauna pertaining to New Zealand. Her natural canvases are all unique, involving many hours of detailed artwork.

Bill Inge Sculptor

Bill Inge is a Horowhenua based sculptor inspired by the sea worn driftwood found locallyCombining it with Oamaru Limestone, he creates beautiful natural sculptures that will complement any garden. 

Caitor the Creator

Caitlin creates a unique multitude of weird and wonderful, inclusive crafts, and colourful abstract landscapes using a variety of methods and mediums handed down through her family. 

Chapters Bookshop

Chapters Bookshop supports the local creative community and will be exhibiting work by local artists and writers. They will also be selling their gorgeous books, cards, giftwrap, and gifts. 

County Faye Art Gallery

Country Fayre is a Creative, Social, Historical and Information Hub for the Pohaninga ValleyThe Art Gallery show cases artists with a local connection. 

Darren Wallace Art

Darren Wallace, a Manawatu artist, creates realistic paintings and drawings, often depicting people and animal portraits in their environments. He also tutors art for kids, youth, and adults at Square Edge Community Art Centre. 

David Traub Glass Artist

David’s 53 years’ experience lies in glass, blowing and in the fusing and slumping processes. He will have examples of work and talk about the ideas and influences that inspire them.

Slow stitching, bookbinding, and etching combine to create Fiona’s eclectic medals, jewellery, guardians, and altars. You’ll see unconventional collisions of materials and techniques from this insatiable, neuro-divergent’s gaudy hoard. 

Foibles and Mania Collective

Foibles and Mania is a collective of established and emerging local creatives who create a pop-up gallery space each year for Art Trail Manawatū. They are all about sharing and encouraging. 

Foxton Town and Country Spinners and Weavers

Foxton town and country spinners meet twice weekly to do spinning, weaving, and once a month they do both wet and dry felting. They encourage people to learn and expand their creative abilities. 

Franco Jose

Printmaker and Painter, Franco admires deconstructionism in art—the way it challenges conventions, dismantles structure, and reimagines meaning. Raw, fragmented forms spark thought and invite deeper exploration of perception and reality. 

George St Collective

George St Collective is a local gift shop supporting 30+ Manawatū creatives, offering a curated selection of art, textiles, ceramics, toys, and crafts, all proudly handmade locally.

Horowhenua Art Society Inc

The Horowhenua Art Society Inc host weekly group sessions for all skill levels and mediums, and classes throughout the year. Their artists will be demonstrating in the studio, come and give it a go and join them for afternoon tea.

Laurence is a hand-weaver of rugs using traditional techniques and mostly natural materials. His designs draw on elements of nature both on the visual level and the science beneath them.

Lynda developed her watercolour skills after joining the “have a go” group at Feilding Art Society. All paintings are from her own reference photos. 

Machine Art

Garnet builds sculptures mainly from recycled engine and machine parts. It’s been his hobby for around 20 years, and now retired, Garnet looks forward to creating even more.

Maggie Duff is a multidisciplinary artist exploring visual art and written word. Using wool from her own sheep, she creates fibre works and will demonstrate felting and weaving techniques during the Art Trail.

Maren is a ceramic and watercolour artist creating hare sculptures, functional pottery, and vibrant animal, poppy, and bumblebee watercolour paintings. 

Marton Arts and Crafts Centre

MACC is for the community and has an ethos of connecting people through art. There will be demonstrations by members and a variety of mediums on display and for sale. 

Michele O'Neil

Michele O’Neil creates handcrafted wall hangings and headboards from cotton cord and feathers, designed to be striking focal points in any home or business space. 

MS Art Group

The MS Art Group are artists who live with MS and share a passion for creating art. They meet weekly and support each other with group and individual pursuits 

Ochre

Carla lives & breathes a creative response. She is a sculptor & potter, with a bit of a thing for process. Ochre is her arty destination in Bulls. 

Peter Scott - Tinker

Peter is a multi-skilled artist, upcycling waste into functional, beautiful works. Specialising in EPNS silver plate, Peter crafts hooks, handles and more. He will be demonstrating and involving visitors on the trail weekend. 

Rachel Stockley

Rachel is a printmaker and mixed media artist, drawing inspiration from her materials and environment. Recycling plays a role in her studio practice, influencing her creative process and work. 

Rangitikei College Visual Arts

Rangitikei College is thrilled to present works that celebrate the artistic achievements of their talented students. This collection offers a vibrant snapshot of the creativity flourishing within their local youth. 

Robyn Laing

Robyn’s paintings are a celebration of her identity as an artist who focuses on the beautiful New Zealand flora, and of people who proudly call themselves New Zealanders.

Rosalind specialises in fused glass usually featuring geometric components stacked into a unique pattern and then melted in a kiln. Often this process is repeated to achieve the desired outcome. 

Rose City Quilters

Rose City Quilters shares a passion for quilting, patchwork, and textiles. Their meetings feature talented speakers, inspiring show-and-tells, and the opportunity to connect with fellow quilters. 

Rosemary Mead-White

Rosemary is a member of the Marton Arts & Crafts Centre, and rediscovered art after raising a family. She now enjoys painting in watercolour, particularly old buildings. 

S. Mackintosh

S. Mackintosh explores and experiments with various mediums to reveal the magic in the mundane and minimal — skin, sky, and sly side eyes. 

Sam Lewry

Originally from Kapiti, Sam now works from her studio in Rangitīkei. Her art practice began in 2009 and is primarily focused on stylised and imagined landscapes in oil. 

Sandra Douglas

Sandra loves the contrast between loose, experimental colours and finely detailed graphite or ink work. She’ll be creating all weekend and visitors are welcome to watch, ask questions, and see demonstrations.

Award-winning Teddy Bear Artist, Sandy’s latest creative pursuit is “Snow people”. Combining her love of Christmas, angels, bling and repurposed “treasures”, each piece boasts a distinct and unique personality. 

Sharon Gordon

Within Sharon’s exploration of loose watercolour, landscapes become ethereal and moody By contrast her mixed media works are bold in shape, colour, line and texture. 

Shine Studio

Louise works in clay and is inspired by the natural world and iconography from myth. In these dangerous times she increasingly explores ideas of safety and spaces for life 

Slow Woven Textile Studio

Natasha Christensen of Slow Woven Textile Studio is a weaver and fibre artist, known for colourful throw-blankets and wraps inspired by native plant life. She will demonstrate her techniques all weekend.

Snails is an active creative space. During the Trail, you’ll see people making things, revisiting old work, and new experiments.

Sue has been painting for a few years now. Working in both oils and acrylics as well as mixed media, her choice of subjects are quite diverse. 

Suzanne McAllen Pottery

This year, Suzanne is flinging open her Ashhurst studio doors for the Arts Trail! Step inside a working pottery studio and discover beautifully made pottery by a talented local artisan. 

Tamie Hodgetts

Tammie is a local artist well known for her distinct style of painting and bold colour. She uses cubism, while embracing an organic richness through light, blending and detail. 

Taonga Ariki - Manu and Cat Rikihana

Taonga Ariki is a husband and wife creative duo , showcasing a range of paintings, mixed media, bone and wood carvings, mahi rāranga, and digital storytelling. 

Tash Hume

Tash is known locally for her animal caricatures. She has recently rediscovered her childhood hobby of stamp collecting and creates mixed media artworks from the many ‘extras’ of her collection. 

Te Wananga o Aotearoa

The students, tutors, and alumni of Te Wānanga o Aotearoa’s Māori arts program will be offering live demonstrations and beautiful woven pieces available for sale.
