“Land of the forests, swamps and lagoons”

This is a collection of works painted and drawn over the last two years. For some of the work I have drawn inspiration from some old black and white photographs of the Manawatu and other areas of New Zealand.

The light in Aotearoa intensifies colours especially on cloudy days and at dawn or dusk. I love to capture the movement of the clouds and trees on windy days.
