BUSH DRAGON | ALISTAIR THOM

For my shoot I was looking for symmetry and detail for my interpretation of one, this dragon fly happened to be down our track resting so was very co-operative but was a very hard subject to light with wings that were like chrome.

THE ICONIC GONDOLA | AMANDA CARRINGTON

I visited Europe last year and one of the many places I saw was Venice. There were hundreds of rows of gondolas floating in the canal. These 3 were the only ones grouped together while hundreds more could be located to the right and left.

BEST IN SHOW | CATHERINE HOLMES

I’ve spent a lot of time photographing cat shows over the last few years and always enjoy how regal and superior the 1st place cats are. I decided to take this a little further and built more of a roman pedestal for my winning cat. The number one cat elevated to god like status – a position they no doubt believe is utterly valid and reasonable. The central cat (Coco) and the two either side, are all currently available for adoption through Outpawed Rescue in Palmerston North.

EMILY | DAVID UNWIN

One performer showing her talent for all to observe and be inspired.

Emily Sutherland – Dancer

Hi, my name is Emily, I started ballet nine years ago at Maximum Dance Zone as a 3 year old. Since then I have also started jazz and contemporary. My favourite dance style is ballet. I have loved watching and attempting it since I was little and it has grown into a passion that will forever be a part of my life.

When I dance it makes me feel happy. I love telling stories through dance and connecting with the audience.
In the future I would like to be a dance teacher or an on going performer so that I can share my passion with others.

ONE NEW DAY | VICTORIA FORSYTH

Taken on the morning of the morning of the 1st January 2020. It was taken in Te Anau while on a trip with my dad to saying goodbye to his brother who was dying of cancer. If any prints for this image are sold the proceeds after cost will be donated to the Dunedin Hospice.

$400 roughly A2 in size on the longest side

THE SPLASH-KICKING FREEDOM OF ONE | WARWICK SMITH

This is a good example of one aspect of photography that I particularly like. Having an idea which involves a few non-controllable elements, finding a suitable camera position and waiting for the image to reveal itself.

The idea; Long late afternoon shadows similar to those aerial shots of Namibian desert camels but here it is Waitārere Beach with my sister of great patience getting her toes wet as a model.
Uncontrollable elements; the tide, the ripples, the sun and even the modelʼs movements.

And then it all comes together as this image.

$250 (90cm x 50cm unframed)

LONGING FOR A NEW DAWN | SUMMER HUNT

I went for a feeling, an emotion with this piece. Halfway up a hill at dawn, listening to Florence and the Machine, watching the sun kiss the shadows awake. There’s nothing like feeling at one with the earth.

$180

THE DIVINE FEMININE | TONI LARSEN

I drew inspiration from Numerology, where the number 1 is considered a very strong number – embodied by power, courage, force and idealism.
The Divine Feminine is a powerful, energetic force, but the goddess has been suppressed and silenced over millennia.

As Mother Earth cries, as she does now, the Divine Feminine rises.
The feminine expresses through the Number 1 as a flexible but resilient power and stands as a conduit, bridging earth and sky, matter and spirit, god and goddess.

ONE | IAN ROTHERHAM

One person in their space, as the busy world goes by.
Their space is small inside a bigger darker unknown space. People are trying to find themselves who they are as themselves.
This concept is about personal identity but also fits with what is going on right now sadly.

ONE AND THE SAME: A MIXED MEDIA PHOTOGRAPHIC EXPLORATION OF CONNECTION | CARLY THOMAS

Gold solar plate created using photographic techniques. Framed with mat board. Frame 20.31×25.4 cm. Plate 10×12.5 cms.

I dived down the never ending sequence of the fibonacci spiral as I was thinking about the nautilus shell and what oneness means. I didn’t have a shell so I moved onto my solar plate experiments. And then I found myself wandering along a spring tide at Akitio beach and there it was – the most perfect nautilus shell sitting improbably on the beach. Oneness- holding the connectivity of being receptive to all that is and can be.

$120 individually or $250 for the trio.
