Potential | Rachel Robb
This body of work explores vulnerability, growth and potential; and the fear that surrounds it.
“Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness, that frightens us”- Marianne Williamson
This collection of pieces aims to show the different parts of each of us, the potential that we all process but do not necessarily show to the world; instead we create a protective shell around us, building up many layers represented here by the paper mache.
At times we might feel the need to build up our walls entirely, not letting the light in, or allowing anyone to see in, but our potential, even if not seen always remains. The time is now, to let people see inside. To throw open the doors and let the potential shine so all can see.
“As we let our own light shine, we consciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others “- Marianne Williamson
