Square Edge Fibre Artists
tuitui gallery, SQUARE EDGE ARTS CENTRE
Whiria Toi marks the first year of our collective at Square Edge. We gather weekly to work, learn, and grow through shared time, space and energy.
Our practice is grounded in whanaungatanga, with respect for the tikanga and kawa that guides how we work, share, and hold space together.
The works presented are centred around harakeke and muka, involving weaving kete, pottery, sewing, tukutuku, raranga, tāniko, and whatu. Each artist brings their own unique practice, contributing to a diverse and evolving body of work.
Whiria Toi invites you to step into a world of art shaped by nature and handcrafted by our hands. Each piece speaks with intention, beauty and mana while offering visitors insight, connection and inspiration.
