Folk art painting classes in 1996 began Cathie Prior’s journey into art making. Since then she has attended classes both here in NZ and abroad. Cathie grew up in the city but for the past 30 years has lived on a farm at Halcombe. Recently Cathie and her husband lived aboard a yacht, sailing halfway around the world. Cathie’s acrylic and oil paintings offer a wide variety of subjects inspired by NZ and her travels.
