Untold Stories tells the personal stories of six families from Central, Eastern and Southern Europe who settled in Palmerston North after the Second World War. New Zealand wanted skilled labour and up to 5000 Displaced Persons came to fill that role. The stories cover their journey through war torn Europe, their stay at the Pahīatua Camp and their life in New Zealand. The project includes a film and book
