My painted feathers encapsulate my love of New Zealand landscape, flora, and both native and endemic birds. A sketchpad was my constant companion from a young age. My feather paintings started small and evolved over roughly 15 years to now be framed and my main source of income. They came about when a friend said to me, “you love birds, you love feathers why don’t you paint on them?”
Painting feathers has helped me become more flexible in my approach to form and flow and that there is perfection in imperfection and nature. The rest is history.
